Register for a CS Fair Student Showcase

Classes are invited to present student projects at your region's CS Fair. This is an opportunity for your students to show their creativity to their peers.

How the Showcase Works

At the start of each CS Fair, students will have the opportunity to display their projects to students from other schools.

At CS Fairs with at least five student projects, students will have the opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite project, and an audience choice award will be presented.

Who can participate?

Any students who have created a project they are proud of can submit to the student showcase. Submissions should not be required from students. There is no experience requirement.

Will this interfere with workshops?

The showcase will overlap with some workshops, but students participating will still be able to attend most workshops. The exact schedule for the showcase varies by city, so contact us if you have any specific questions.

For projects created by a team of students, one student can stay with the booth while others attend workshops if desired.

Will there be awards?

An "audience choice" award will be presented based on audience voting at cities with more than three showcase participants.

Booth Setup

Each student project will be provided with:

  • A table
  • Two chairs
  • Limited access to power
  • Any additional requests need to be made during registration (below)

Students must bring their own computer or laptop to present. We cannot provide laptops or monitors. While we will do our best to provide each group with reliable internet access, the number of students may slow or stop the network during demos. Projects should be stored locally on demonstration computers.

How to Register

To register, please fill out the form below. All students are eligible regardless of skill level, however participation should not be mandatory (students should be excited to take part). We especially encourage participation from Post-AP CS classes and students in clubs.

Registration must be submitted directly by the class teacher, not individual students. Please register all your projects at once, using the "Add Student Project" button. You must register separately for entry to your school's CS Fair.

Registration will close five days prior to your CS Fair date, or when all booths have been allocated.
